GoodLife U Workforce Consulting

Our Workforce Solutions Make An Immediate Difference

We know that change can seem daunting at first for many nonprofit and direct support workers, but it doesn’t have to be with the right support. Investing in your workforce prepares your organization for the future and protects you from future staffing crises.

We tailor solutions based on your organization’s unique systems and programs. While change can still take time, GoodLife U’s consultants build customized plans that fit your organization and implement the solutions as quickly as possible to help you start seeing immediate benefits.

Our 4-Step Workforce Consulting Plan

In four easy steps, our workforce consultants discover your needs, analyze your programs, design a solution, and help you implement it smoothly.

Workforce 101

Workforce 101 is a free, no-commitment opportunity to learn about GoodLife U’s strategies directly from our CEO. You’ll learn about our research and case studies as we discuss how our strategies can help your organization thrive.

Discovery

During the next phase, our consultants work closely with your team to develop a high-level overview of your organization, programs, and homes to uncover the specific pain points you’re facing. Then, we’ll develop a selection of tailored proposals for your organization allowing you the flexibility to choose the best approach for your organization. Our listen-first approach ensures your proposals are customized to maximize your ROI.

Program Analysis & Redesign

Once your team has selected a proposal, GoodLife U partners with your organization to help analyze schedules, optimize your payroll, and make other recommendations for improving the experience of your direct care workforce. We have years of experience in nonprofit consulting and we bring all our expertise into the process.

Implementation

Before your new workforce strategy can be put into practice, our consultants will meet weekly with you to help implement your new workforce strategies. We also provide templates for internal marketing and communication documents to help make sure your whole organization is on the same page and that the transition goes as smoothly as possible.

Real Results You Can Depend On

  • Optimized Payroll

We’ve been able to raise the hourly wage for DSP workers by $3.08 within the existing payroll budgets of the organizations that work with our nonprofit consulting.

  • Reduced Overtime

With optimized schedules, overtime is reduced, workers experience a better work-life balance, and managerial satisfaction increases. Plus, a more positive work environment attracts new applicants to help grow the number of workers.

Chief Strategy & People Officer at Koinonia

The process to implement new schedules was HARD for staff and managers, not knowing all of the ‘why’ behind the changes being made. BUT NOW, those same staff are speaking up about how happy they are and about how their quality of life has improved tremendously. We even had a manager share that this week was the first time her schedule didn’t include direct care hours she had to cover – and stories like this are all over the place. I am so grateful we didn’t let the challenges of change keep us from all of the rewards.

What we learned from the GoodLife team about schedules and pay strategies has made a huge impact here. We are still facing an uphill battle with the DSP crisis, but we feel armed and ready. Next we are preparing for integration with iLink, which is extremely exciting. Our industry faces real challenges, but partnering with GoodLife has been positive and empowering.
